Error operation one: Running when oil is insufficient

Therefore, before starting the diesel generator and during the operation of the diesel engine, it is necessary to ensure sufficient oil to prevent cylinder pulling, tile burning, and other faults caused by oil shortage.

Error operation 2: Emergency stop with load

1. After the diesel generator is turned off, the circulation of cooling water in the cooling system stops, the heat dissipation capacity sharply decreases, and the heated parts lose cooling, which can easily cause the cylinder head, cylinder liner, cylinder block and other components to overheat, produce cracks, or cause the piston to expand excessively and get stuck in the cylinder liner.

2. Failure to idle and cool down the diesel generator during shutdown can result in a lack of oil on the conflict surface, which can exacerbate wear and tear due to poor lubrication.

Error 3: Running under load without warming up after cold start

When starting a diesel generator with a cold engine, due to the high viscosity and poor fluidity of the oil, the oil pump lacks fuel supply, resulting in cylinder pulling, tile burning, and other faults.

Error 4: Running with high oil temperature

The lack of cooling water in diesel generators will reduce their cooling effectiveness. Diesel engines may overheat due to the lack of effective cooling, resulting in excessive oil temperature in the cooling water and engine oil. Overheating of diesel generators can also worsen the combustion process of diesel engines, causing abnormal fuel injector operation, poor atomization, and increased carbon deposition.

The following points should be noted:

1. The installation site of the equipment should have good ventilation and meet the necessary air inlet and outlet requirements.

2. The surrounding area of the equipment should be clean and avoid placing items that are prone to acidic or alkaline corrosive gases nearby.

3. If used indoors, the smoke exhaust pipe must be extended to the outside, and the diameter of the pipe must be greater than the diameter of the exhaust pipe of the muffler to ensure the discharge of oil smoke. The pipe should be tilted down 6-9 degrees to avoid rainwater injection; If the exhaust pipe is straight upwards, a rain cover must be installed.

4. If the foundation is made of concrete, its levelness should be measured with a spirit level to fix the unit on a horizontal foundation, and there should be shock-absorbing pads between the unit and the foundation.

5. The casing of the unit must have reliable protective grounding. For generators that require direct grounding of the neutral point, it should be grounded by professional personnel and equipped with lightning protection equipment.

6. The bidirectional switch between the generator and the mains must be very reliable to prevent reverse power transmission. The wiring reliability of the bidirectional switch must be inspected and approved by the local power supply department.
