When a diesel generator catches fire, it produces a sharp, protruding, and uninterrupted metallic sound; Idle or low load is very prominent, accompanied by mechanical vibration; When the load is high and the speed is high, the sound decreases significantly and the operation tends to be stable. Therefore, how to diagnose and deal with this ignition noise? There are five methods available:
Method 1:
If the initial judgment of the diesel generator ignition roar is a fault phenomenon, its working temperature can be checked first, and then the fuel supply time (injection advance angle) and quality can be checked.
Method 2:
Through a semi fuel cut-off test, which involves loosening the high-pressure oil pipe joint of the fuel injector and spraying some oil externally to reduce fuel supply to the cylinder. If the sound and smoke disappear, it indicates that the ignition sound is caused by excessive oil cylinder supply.
Method 3:
If a semi fuel cut-off test is used, the sound will only weaken and not disappear. After the fuel cut-off, the sound must completely disappear, indicating that the ignition sound is caused by the advance of cylinder fuel supply time or poor atomization quality of the fuel injector. Pay attention to checking the fuel supply time of the cylinder (interval from the first cylinder) and the injection status of the fuel injector of the cylinder.
Method 4:
Due to excessive fuel supply to individual cylinders, it is also possible to touch the exhaust manifold of the corresponding cylinder block after cold start, as there may be noise under high load conditions; Touching the lower part of the fuel injector and the temperature near it is hotter than other cylinders, indicating that the cylinder is supplying too much fuel. You can also hold the high-pressure oil pipe with your hand, and feel that the large pulsation is due to excessive oil supply in the cylinder.
Method 5:
If the fuel supply of a single cylinder is too large and the fuel supply time is too early, the fuel injection pump should be moved to the test bench to adjust the fuel supply and advance angle of the cylinder, and check the fuel supply, advance angle, and interval angle of each cylinder.
