For diesel generators, air filter maintenance generally needs to be carried out according to maintenance indicators or indicator lights. Disassembling and assembling the filter may damage the sealing ring between the housing and the filter. So, only clean or replace the air filter when necessary. But replace it once a year, and if the diesel generator has severe black smoke, replace the air filter at any time.

1. Remove the vacuum cleaner. The service life of the filter paper core is related to whether the dust of the No. 2 dust collector is cleaned in a timely manner. If dust is not removed in a timely manner, the filter will quickly become clogged. Therefore, never let the dust collector be filled with dust. When the dust content is high, dust should be removed every day (air filters with 8 dust valves can eliminate this maintenance, but the dust outlet of the dust valve must be cleaned regularly). The cleaning method is as follows:

(1) Loosen the clamp and remove the dust collector and end cover together.

(2) Remove the end cover from the collector, pour out the dust, and reassemble in reverse order.

(3) Pay attention to aligning the grooves on the end cover with the flanges on the dust collector. When the air filter is installed horizontally, mark the "up" mark upwards.

2. Repair according to the repair indicator. After the diesel engine stops running, if the red "maintenance area" can be clearly seen on the maintenance indicator, or if the maintenance indicator light of the air filter flashes during use, maintenance of the air filter is necessary. The air conditioning filter needs to be maintained five times, and after five times, it needs to be replaced. After maintaining the air filter five times, the filter still needs to be replaced, but at least every two years. After the air filter maintenance work is completed, the maintenance indicator light continues to flash, and the safety filter should be replaced. After the repair is completed, if the repair indicator light does not disappear, press the return button 2, and the repair indicator requirement will disappear. Otherwise, it will have to be maintained again.

3. Clean the valve. If an air filter with a dust removal valve is installed, dust removal should be carried out at least once every hour of operation. The detailed method is: (1) Press the rubber flat nozzle at the bottom of the dust removal valve to open it; (2) Continuously press (and shake) the middle of the dust removal valve to remove dust.

4. Maintenance steps for air filters.

(1) Loosen the clamp;

(2) Remove the casing and remove the filter element;

(3) Clean the filter element (replace it at least once a year);

(4) Cleaning method for paper filter element: Blow out from the inside (maximum pressure 0.5MPa), and if necessary, gently tap the filter element to remove dust or clumps. Note: Do not knock to damage the filter element.

(5) The sealing ring may be damaged during daily maintenance or replacement of the filter element. Regularly check the transparency of the paper filter and the sealing of the sealing ring, and replace them if necessary.

(6) For safety filters (internal filtration), they must be replaced (cannot be cleaned) after being cleaned five times or used for more than two years. The replacement steps are as follows: unscrew the hex nut, remove the old filter element, install a new filter element, and tighten the hex nut. Install the filter element, install the cover, and tighten the clamp.
