How does a silent generator reduce noise?
As the name suggests, a silent generator (low noise diesel generator) is a diesel generator that emits less noise. It is used in places that require diesel generator power and do not wish to be disturbed by noise, such as schools, cinemas, banks, hotels, or special gathering places. The price of this silent generator used in special environments is higher than that of ordinary generators.
By reducing exhaust noise and diesel generator inlet and outlet noise, the effect of low noise has been achieved. The noise of an open diesel generator can reach about 110 decibels, and the noise of a good diesel generator is not less than 95 decibels. When the noise exceeds 85 decibels, it can affect human health. Therefore, a generator above 85 decibels cannot be considered a silent generator.
In recent years, diesel generator technology has developed rapidly and is relatively mature in all aspects, including diesel generator technology. For experienced generator manufacturers, the noise reduction decibel for a 1-meter distance measurement is 65 decibels.
