Installation of gas cylinders

The position of the gas cylinder should be as close as possible to the engine to facilitate the starting of the diesel generator. If the starting pipeline is too long, it will cause difficulty in starting the diesel generator or reduce the number of times the diesel generator may be started with just one bottle of gas in the storage cylinder. Gas cylinders are generally placed vertically in the gas cylinder pit, with diagonal square wood stoppers around them. It is advisable for the gas cylinder handwheel to be exposed to the ground at a height of 1-1.2m, which is convenient for operation.

When there are multiple units, each gas cylinder should be connected in parallel for mutual backup.

The gas cylinder should have enough gas stored in it to start the unit at any time.

After the installation of the gas cylinder, there should be no air leakage, as the sealing requirements of each valve are high due to the high air pressure. A good gas cylinder should be left for several months or even half a year after being fully inflated, and the air pressure inside the cylinder should be basically maintained without decreasing.

After installation, a test should be carried out (including pipeline connections). If the gas cylinder leaks, grinding paste can be added to the leaking valve, and its valve seat can be ground. Then, it should be washed off with gasoline and coated with engine oil for grinding until there is no leakage.

If the pipeline leakage is not severe, it generally does not need to be treated because there is no compressed air inside the pipeline during gas storage, and it only passes through the pipeline during the inflation process.

Installation of diesel generator oil cooler

The oil cooler of the 250 diesel generator needs to be installed separately. It is generally installed in the foundation pit or trench in front of the oil filter (oil tank). For the convenience of connecting water and oil pipes, a certain distance, usually 15-20cm, should be left between the oil cooler and the oil tank. Being too close will cause inconvenience in the installation of water and oil pipes; At the same time, it should not be too far away to lengthen the water and oil routes. In short, it is important to ensure easy installation, neat and aesthetically pleasing appearance, and good operational performance.
