1. Strengthen the maintenance of diesel generator fuel system: diesel filter maintenance should be strengthened, and the filter element should be cleaned or replaced in a timely manner; Clean the fuel tank in a timely manner to prevent diesel impurities from causing serious corrosion or wear to the fuel injection pump plunger and outlet valve.

2. Ensure that the diesel of the diesel generator is clean. The characteristics of the internal combustion engine fuel supply system and the formation method of combustible mixture determine that the filtration requirements of diesel engines are much higher than those of gasoline engines. Therefore, diesel that meets the requirements should be selected and precipitated for at least 48 hours.

3. Regularly check the fuel supply to each cylinder of the diesel generator. Due to the wear and tear of the plunger and oil outlet valve components, diesel internal leakage can cause a decrease or uneven fuel supply to each cylinder, resulting in difficulty starting, insufficient power, increased fuel consumption, and unstable operation of the diesel engine. So it is necessary to regularly check and adjust the fuel supply of each cylinder of the fuel injection pump to ensure the full performance of the diesel engine power. In practice, the fuel supply for each cylinder can be determined by observing diesel engine exhaust, listening to generator sounds, and measuring exhaust temperature.

4. Regularly inspect the sealing of the diesel generator oil outlet valve. After a period of operation of the fuel injection pump, by checking the sealing condition of the oil valve, a rough judgment of the working status of the oil pump with worn plunger can be made, which helps to determine repair and maintenance methods. During inspection, unscrew the high-pressure oil pipe joints of each cylinder and use the hand oil pump of the fuel delivery pump to pump oil. If oil flows out of the top oil pipe joint of the fuel injection pump, it indicates poor sealing of the valve (such a situation can also occur if the oil delivery valve spring is broken). If the sealing of multiple cylinders is poor, the fuel injection pump on the fuel injection pump should be thoroughly maintained.

5. Correct installation of diesel generator fuel injection pump. Before assembly, each component must be thoroughly cleaned to prevent impurities from adhering to the mating surface. When disassembling the plunger and oil outlet valve components, they should be taken out, installed, and replaced in pairs. Please do not pull out the plunger casually.
