The function of the return pipe is to allow excess oil to flow back to the tank, reducing the consumption of oil. Most cars now have a return line, which supplies fuel to the engine through the fuel pump, creating a certain pressure. Apart from the normal fuel supply nozzle, the remaining fuel is sent back to the fuel tank through the return line. When the generator vacuum pump is working, the oil used comes from the main oil passage of the diesel engine. After the vacuum pump is working, the oil should return to the diesel oil pan. If the return oil of the generator vacuum pump is blocked, it will cause:

(1) The oil return is not smooth, causing the rotor blades of the vacuum pump to easily break, resulting in a decrease in vacuum degree or no vacuum.

(2) The oil return is not smooth, causing the generator rotor to experience reverse resistance (increased rotor resistance), making the generator rotor prone to burning.

(3) Due to poor oil return, the return pipe is prone to bursting.

When the return oil pipeline, including the one-way valve and return oil filter on the return oil pipeline, is blocked by foreign objects, the separated oil that has condensed at the bottom of the oil separator cannot return to the machine head, and the already condensed oil droplets are blown up by the airflow and carried away with the separated air. These foreign objects are usually caused by solid impurities that fall off during installation.

Solution: Stop the machine and wait for the pressure in the oil drum to release to zero before removing all the fittings of the return oil pipe. Blow out the blocked foreign objects. When installing the built-in oil separator, pay attention to cleaning the oil and gas drum cover, and also pay attention to whether there are solid particles remaining at the bottom of the oil separator core.
