(1) Emergency fire extinguishing device for diesel generator set

The emergency stop device for diesel generator sets can be operated electrically, mechanically, or hydraulically. You should be familiar with the shutdown mode and location of the shutdown devices installed in diesel generator engines, the conditions under which various shutdown devices are active, and the reset steps required before restarting.

The working principle of all electric ignition devices is similar. When critical operating conditions occur, activate the switch to stop the engine. Before starting the engine again, it is necessary to reset the engine shutdown device.

Every 1000 working hours, the shutdown device should be inspected by company personnel. Every 500 hours of operation, the engine set can test the hydraulic mechanical shutdown device.

Do not use emergency stop devices when the machine is shut down normally. Be sure to identify the cause of the sudden shutdown and carry out necessary repairs.

(2) Diesel generator set alarm switch

The temperature, pressure, or liquid level threshold set for the alarm of the Shangchai diesel generator set is stricter than the value during emergency shutdown (i.e. warning). The purpose of the alarm is to warn the operator that an unsafe condition will occur and that corrective measures must be taken to avoid engine damage.

After an alarm occurs, necessary corrective measures should be taken before transitioning to an emergency situation. Each alarm switch is connected to an indicator or bell or speaker. The alarm continues until the fault is resolved, then the indicator light goes off and the bell or speaker stops. To prevent alarm sounds during maintenance, a two-way switch and red indicator light can be installed. When the toggle switch is turned off, the red light comes on.

If the switch remains in the "OFF" position after maintenance, the red light will continue to indicate that the engine is not protected.
