1) Common Units
This type of generator set operates year-round and is generally located in areas far from the power grid (or city power) or near industrial and mining enterprises to meet the construction, production, and living electricity needs of these areas. In regions with relatively fast economic development, due to the inability of power grid construction to keep up with the needs of users, commonly used diesel generator sets with short construction cycles are established to meet the needs of Mazu users. This type of diesel generator set generally has a relatively large capacity and provides continuous power supply for non constant loads. There is no limit to the duration of continuous operation, and it allows for 1 hour of overload power supply every 12 hours. The overload capacity is 10% of the rated output power. This type of unit is adjusted to a lower point relative to the maximum power of the local unit due to its heavy operating time.
2) Standby unit
Under normal circumstances, the electricity required by users is supplied by the mains power. When the power supply is interrupted due to mains power restrictions or other reasons, a generator set is set up to ensure the basic production and daily life of users. This type of generator set is permanently located in important electricity consuming units such as telecommunications departments, hospitals, industrial and mining enterprises with tight power supply, airports, and television stations. These types of units are always in standby mode and can provide continuous power supply to non constant loads.
3) Emergency crew
Emergency generator sets are often installed to provide emergency power to electrical equipment that may cause significant losses or personal accidents due to sudden interruption of mains power, such as fire protection systems in high-rise buildings, evacuation lighting, elevators, control systems for automated production lines, important communication systems, and medical equipment undergoing important surgeries with patients. This type of unit should be able to quickly start and operate in the event of a sudden interruption of mains power, and provide stable AC power to the load in the shortest possible time to ensure timely power supply to the load. 3) After years of research by relevant units, the automation of diesel generator sets can achieve unmanned operation, including unit self start, automatic voltage regulation, automatic frequency regulation, load regulation, automatic parallel operation, automatic increase or decrease of units according to load size, automatic fault handling, and automatic recording. The printer set can automatically start 10-15 seconds after the interruption of mains power, replacing mains power for power supply;
(8) According to the classification of automation functions, it can be divided into basic diesel generator sets, automatic start diesel generator sets, and microcomputer automatic control diesel generator sets.
1) Basic diesel generator sets are relatively common, consisting of diesel engines, enclosed water tanks, fuel tanks, silencers, synchronous AC generators, excitation voltage regulation devices, control boxes, couplings, and chassis. 2) Automatic start diesel generator set is an additional automatic control system added to the basic diesel generator set. It has an automatic start function. 3) The microcomputer automatic control diesel generator set consists of a diesel engine, a three-phase brushless synchronous generator, an automatic fuel supply device, an automatic oil supply device, an automatic cooling water supply device, and an automatic control cabinet. Automatic control application programmable logic controller (PLC) control.
