With the improvement of living standards, people's dependence on electricity is also increasing. Power outages may sound out of reach, but they also happen occasionally. At this point, diesel generators have become everyone's savior, bringing light to everyone in the darkness. Diesel generator sets are mainly used for the power supply of various main and emergency power sources, and can also be applied to the power supply of electric propulsion systems. Its importance is self-evident. So, how should we use diesel generator sets correctly?

1、 Adding water

First, close the drain valve, add clean drinking water or purified water until it reaches the position of the water tank opening, and cover the water tank cover.

2、 Adding engine oil

There are two types of engine oil: summer and winter, and different types of engine oil are used in different seasons. For diesel engines, add No. 8 or No. 11 engine oil in winter and No. 14 engine oil in summer.

During the process of adding oil, pay attention to observing the vernier scale until the oil is filled to the mark of the vernier scale. Cover the oil cap and do not add too much, as excessive oil can cause oil discharge and burning.

3、 Distinguish between inlet and outlet oil

To ensure that the machine's oil intake is clean, it is generally necessary to allow the diesel to settle for 72 hours. Do not insert the oil inlet into the bottom of the oil cylinder to avoid sucking dirty oil and blocking the oil pipe.

4、 Pump diesel

First, loosen the nut on the hand oil pump, hold the handle of the diesel generator set hand oil pump, and evenly pull and press until the oil enters the oil pump.

5、 Release air

First, loosen the vent screw of the high-pressure oil pump, then press the hand oil pump by hand. When you see oil and bubbles overflowing from the screw hole, until you see all the oil flowing out, tighten the screw.

6、 Connect the starter motor

Distinguish between the positive and negative poles of the motor and the positive and negative poles of the battery. The two batteries should be connected in series to achieve a 24V effect. Connect the positive pole of the motor first. When connecting the positive pole, do not let the terminal come into contact with other connection segments. Then connect the negative pole of the motor, making sure to connect it firmly to avoid damaging the connection line due to ignition.

7、 Air switch

Before starting the machine or when the machine has not entered the power supply state, the switch should be in a separate state. There are four wiring terminals at the lower end of the switch, which are three-phase live wires. The diesel generator set is connected to the power line, and the independent one next to it is the zero wire. The power source that the zero wire contacts with any of the live wires is 220V lighting power. Do not use one that exceeds one-third of the rated power of the generator.

8、 Instrument section

1. During use, the power used can be accurately read out through an ammeter;

2. The voltmeter can detect the output voltage of the motor;

3. The frequency meter must reach 50Hz, which is the basis for detecting the speed;

4. The current and voltage conversion switch is used to detect motor instrument data;

5. Oil pressure gauge, detecting the operating oil pressure of the diesel engine, should not be less than 0.2 atmospheric pressure at full speed;

6. The tachometer should have a speed of 1500 revolutions per minute;

7. The water temperature gauge should not exceed 95 degrees Celsius during use, and the oil temperature should generally not exceed 85 degrees Celsius. Nowadays, many machines have been changed to display modules without individual instruments, and all values are displayed on a small control unit.

9、 Start

Turn on the ignition switch, press the button, release the diesel generator set after landing, run for 30 seconds, toggle the high and low speed switches, and the machine slowly rises from idle to high speed. Check the readings on all instruments. Only under normal circumstances can the air switch be turned on and the power supply be successful.
