(1) Reasons for premature fuel supply time:

① The fixing screws of the connecting plate of the coupling are loose and displaced (this reason will cause the total oil supply time to be too early);

② Improper adjustment or movement of the adjustment screw on the fuel injection pump plunger;

③ Individual oil outlet valves are not tightly closed.

When the fuel supply time is too early, there is a rhythmic and crisp metallic knocking sound inside the cylinder, making it difficult to start. The diesel engine works poorly, lacks power, emits white smoke from the exhaust, and has a smell of "raw oil". It is easy to stop at low speeds.

When checking, the high-pressure oil pipe of the first cylinder can be removed, the crankshaft can be rotated, and attention should be paid to observing the oil level in the tight seat of the oil outlet valve on the fuel injection pump. At the moment when the oil level just fluctuates, check whether the fuel injection advance angle of the diesel engine meets the regulations from the fuel supply timing line on the flywheel and the mark on the flywheel housing. If it does not meet the requirements, it should be readjusted. If necessary, check cylinder by cylinder again.

③ Excessive wear on the driving gears, tappets, camshafts, plungers, and sleeves of the fuel injection pump.

When the fuel injection time is too late, the diesel engine is difficult to start. After starting, there is a low and unclear knocking sound in the cylinder. The speed of the diesel engine cannot increase with the increase of the throttle, resulting in high engine temperature, decreased power, increased fuel consumption, and black smoke. The inspection method is the same as checking for premature fuel supply time.
