1、 Why is a diesel generator set equipped with a water heater

In cold winter and low temperature conditions, diesel generators experience an increase in fuel viscosity, which is not conducive to fuel atomization and combustion. The decreased fluidity of lubricating oil increases the resistance of various moving parts, and the reduced performance of the battery can easily lead to difficulties in starting the engine, wear of running parts, reduced power, increased fuel consumption, and decreased power performance. To ensure that the diesel generator set can be safely put into use under cold conditions, daily maintenance should be carried out, and it is best to install a low-temperature auxiliary starting system preheating device heater (if installed, please regularly check whether the heater is working properly).

2、 Installation of circulating water heater for diesel generator set

Open a screw hole at the connection section between the diesel engine body and the water pump (of course, some bodies are designed with installation screw holes), and then open a screw hole at the water outlet (mostly at the thermostat seat), and install a set of circulating water heater devices (usually consisting of the heater body, connecting hose, control electrical circuit, and water pipe accessories). Common powers include 1KW, 1.5KW, 2KW, 3KW, 4KW, 9KW, etc. Other factors are determined based on the power of the diesel generator set and the temperature environment of the equipment.

Special attention:

A. The inlet and outlet pipes of the heater cannot be connected in reverse;

B. The heater is not filled with water, it is strictly prohibited to start the power and do not dry burn!
