Taking a large unit as an example, the following is described:

1. Normal shutdown of diesel generator set

(1) Gradually remove the load, disconnect the load switch, and turn the commutation switch to the manual position;

(2) Reduce the speed to 600-800 revolutions per minute under no load, run the vehicle without load for a few minutes, then push the oil pump handle to stop supplying oil, and reset the handle after stopping the machine;

(3) When the ambient temperature is less than 5 ℃, all the cooling water of the water pump and diesel engine should be drained;

(4) Place the speed control handle in the lowest speed position and the voltage switch in the manual position;

(5) For short-term parking, the fuel switch should not be turned off to prevent air from entering the fuel system. For long-term parking, the fuel switch should be turned off after parking;

(6) Long term parking requires draining all engine oil;

2. Emergency shutdown of diesel generator set

When one of the following situations occurs in the diesel generator set, it must be shut down urgently. At this point, the load should be cut off first, and the switch handle of the fuel injection pump should be immediately turned to the position where the fuel circuit is cut off, so that the diesel engine can stop immediately;

The pressure gauge value of the unit drops below the specified value:

(1) The cooling water temperature exceeds 99 ℃;

(2) The unit experiences a sharp knocking sound or parts are damaged;

(3) The moving parts such as cylinders, pistons, and speed controllers are stuck;

(4) When the generator voltage exceeds the maximum reading on the meter;

(5) When a fire, electrical leakage, or other natural hazards occur;
