At present, brushless generators and fundamental (auxiliary winding) controllable silicon excitation are mainstream products. In recent years, the controllable silicon excitation of permanent magnet machines has begun to be accepted by the market.

1. Function of control system: Monitoring and control of the working process of diesel generator sets, including measurement and display of diesel engine working parameters, generator power measurement and display, generator output main circuit control, diesel engine, generator protection, and generator set process control.

2. Control systems are divided into integrated control boxes and split control screens according to their structure

3. Classified by function: manual type, automatic type, parallel type (manual parallel, automatic parallel, automatic frequency and load regulation)
